Using Copyrighted Works in Your Teaching

Whether you are an author or a professor, many occasions will arise when you want to use the copyrighted works of others. This workshop will teach you the main issues to consider when using copyrighted material, including how to determine whether a work is copyrighted, understanding fair use, and deciding whether you will need to ask permission for particular use.

This hands-on workshop will show you how to import citations into your EndNote library, select the appropriate bibliographic style (e.g. APA, MLA, etc.) and use CWYW (Cite While You Write) in Microsoft Word to create your in-text citations, footnotes and reference lists automatically.
