Introduction

EndNote® is software to help you manage bibliographic citations and create bibliographies in a variety of styles (e.g. APA, MLA, JAMA). 

With EndNote®  you can:

  • Save citations
  • Enter citations
  • Organize citation
  • Add notes and keywords
  • Create bibliographies
  • Attach .pdf files

 

 

 

Download EndNote

Before you begin, please read this: 

  • Close all Office® applications (e.g. Word, Powerpoint). 
  • Turn off any antivirus software

For Windows users.

Step 1 (downloading EndNoteX6.exe)

  • Login in with your campus username and password (the same one you use for Blackboard or campus email).
  • On the left column click Software, then click EndNote® .
  • Choose the Windows or Mac versio, and click Get EndNote
  • If you are prompted to "Run" or "Save" the file, click Save

Step 2 (extracting ENX6Inst)

  • When the download is complete you may be prompted to "Run" or "Open the Folder".  Choose Run.
  • If prompted, extract to the Desktop (or someplace you can easily find it)

Step 3 (installing EndNote ENX6Inst)

  • Find and double click the ENX6Inst icon.
  • EndNote should begin installing. Just follow the prompts.
